I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and I provide individual and couple counseling services in Charlotte, NC. I was born in Ghana, located in West Africa. I migrated to the United States when I was 11 years old. It was a very difficult transition, coming to a new country, learning a new language and adjusting to a new culture while at the same time going through puberty! Therapy helped me to manage a great deal of anxiety that I experienced during that time period. It also helped me to discover my passion for helping others through difficult life situations. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at UNC Charlotte and my Masters degree Community Mental Health at Winthrop University.
I love what I do and empathy comes natural. I have a warm, compassionate yet direct and genuine style to helping people. I am open-minded and non-judgmental. I provide a safe enviroment which in turn encourages each person's individual life story to be told.
